Here is a simple Rotation Locking Adapter that could be added to any speaker stand and together with a small stud that attaches under the top hat, will positively prevent the cab from rotating.
Operation:
The cab should be prepared by attaching the stud to one of the top hat bolts, preferably a bolt facing the back of the cab.
At setup, slide the locking adapter onto the speaker pole, making sure it is low enough on the pole to not interfere with full seating of the speaker.
Place the speaker on the stand and point it at the desired direction
Slide the locking adapter up until it is flush against the top hat flange and the stud is seated in the top recess
Move the locking lever to the lock position.
Features:
The adapter is designed for use with 35mm diameter stands and bolted-on top hats, with BCD (Bolt Circle Diameter) of 65 – 85mm.
The adapter needs >50mm of pole clearance under the top hat (may not fit tapered poles)
The adapter can be left on the stand when not in use
All the parts are 3D printed, Preferably with PETG. Included are files for m5 and m6 top hat bolts, as well as for flat or CS top hats holes.
Note: make sure that the bolt used to attach the stud is still fully threaded into the inner nut/T-nut after adding the stud, or else replace it with a longer bolt.
