Summary

Step into a world of grandeur and mystique with our meticulously crafted 3D-printable Iron Gates! Designed specifically for tabletop gaming, these gates add an extra layer of realism and sophistication to your Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, or any other fantasy/sci-fi campaign.

Key Features:

  • Hinged Design with Clearance: Each gate features a carefully designed hinge with a "leg" (see the picture illustrating how to attach the hinge and the gate to the terrain piece) that allows for approximately 1mm clearance, if the hinge is properly attached to the terrain pieces. This thoughtful design ensures smooth opening and closing of the gates without interference, adding a layer of realism to your tabletop environment.
The hinges feature allows for seamless integration into your gaming environment. If needed, the gates can be unhinged for dynamic storytelling and interactive gameplay.
  • Single Gate Variant: Print as a standalone piece for a dramatic entrance.
  • Double Gate Variant: Print two gates to create an imposing double-door entrance.
  • Inspired by classic ironwork: these simple yet nicely designed gates add beauty and atmosphere to any tabletop setting.
  • Versatile Usage: Whether guarding the entrance to a medieval castle, a mysterious dungeon, or a prison chamber, these gates seamlessly fit into various gaming scenarios.
  • Printability: tested and optimized for 3D printing, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free printing process for all skill levels.

Dimensions:

Height: ~61mm (single gate), ~55mm (double gate)
Width without hinges: 26mm (single gate/half of the double gate
Thickness: 1.5mm

Assembly:

  1. Print the gate AND the hinge.
  2. Attach the hinge to the terrain piece (eg.: a wall, a building, etc). Important! Use the hinge's "leg" to level it with the ground. Attach the hinges to the terrain structures vertically. If installed correctly the gates would open without interference with a clearance of about 1mm.
  3. Insert the bottom hinge first then the upper hinge into the holes.
  4. The door should rotate and open without effort.

Q/A:

Q: Do the double gates open as well?
A: Absolutely! The double gates also open, and they ingeniously utilize the same hinge system as the single gate variant. This ensures a consistent and realistic experience in your tabletop gaming adventures.

Q: Is it possible to remove the gates from the hinges?
A: Yes, you can easily pull off the gates from the hinges. This feature comes in handy if the gates are meant to be broken or destroyed as part of the characters' actions in the game. It adds a dynamic element to your storytelling, allowing for unexpected twists in your tabletop campaigns.

Share your printed gates in action – we'd love to see how you incorporate them into your tabletop adventures!
