The file 'Rotating D&D Dice 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 5.8MB.
Remixed from Gustavo's Rotating Dice. Made wheels for all 7 types of DnD dice, 4, 6, 8, 10, 00, 12, 20. Put dragon design on the risers.
Instead of putting the digits in order, I randomized them around the wheels in a pattern consistent with how they are on dice, as reasonably as I could. This should ensure fair rolls, but perhaps somebody who has some more mathematical analysis can update me on the best layout for such a thing.
The only good rods I found were 100mm long so I designed the base for 2 four dice wheels sets. I double up the six since 2D6 is a common enough roll. It's the only wheel I made with two sides for the magnets, though I could easily do it for all the wheels if needed. If you can find a 175mm rod might be able to make a base for it for an actual 7 dice set. or a full size 200mm base for the 8 dice set I did as one long piece.
You'll need to print 1 of each wheel, 2 of the stands. 8 of the risers. 12 of the spacers.
16 - 3x10x4 mm bearings needed.
2 - 3x100mm rods needed. (I used 2.9mm rods so easy to slide bearings and spacers on.
100 - 3x3x3mm Magnet cylinders needed. (You're going to possibly make mistakes, get extra. I got 200 and I needed many of the extras as mistakes and prototypes were made.)
8 - M3x16mm screws (holes are longer, but 16mm is exact distance the 20 sided riser will accept since it almost hits the magnet.)
With the magnets you'll need to be careful that all wheels use the same orientation (UP) and all risers use the same orientation (DOWN). The 4 and 6 wheels need double the amount of magnets with alternating up and down orientation. This ensures it ends on a number. Up where the number is. Down where the line is.
The riser has 2 magnet holes. Only the riser for the 20 wheel uses the bottom hole. The rest only use the top hole.
Most magnets will hold with press fit, but you might want to put a drop of glue in there too. I didn't glue any of them, and if I let the magnets get too close some can pull out.
Do not try to repair the STLs, you might lose important holes for magnets or other things.
05/28/2021: Updated 10p, 10n and 12 wheels for better randomness.
