The file 'Rope Making Machine 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 130.1KB.
Video of it in action! https://youtu.be/4yeiTEQm_LM
Here are the files for an opensource rope making machine I designed. It is possible to 3d print the parts, however I used a MPCNC to cut the parts out of 1/2 inch and 1/4 inch plywood. Not every detail is modeled and these files would require additional work to be printed. I welcome anyone to remix and modify the files Here they are at GrabCadhttps://grabcad.com/library/465731 .
All bolts are 5/16th.
The small gear has a recessed pocket for a nut that is glued in place using locktite and then epoxied. Mounting, handle design and attachment and spacers between the plates are modeled. I didn't have a great way to do that so I kludged it together. From the pictures you should get an idea, but I think pretty much anyone could do better.
