Summary

This is an organizer I designed for ROOT: A Game of Woodland Might and Right.

I was inspired by pbreeden0's design, but chose to make my own because I like having tokens separated if I can.

Most of the pieces are small, except for card-holder tray, which isn't strictly needed, since the card holders already take up the space on their own.

Notes:
The Marquise and Lizard Cult use the same top and bottom pieces so just print two of each.

The Riverfolk and Woodland Alliance use the same bottom piece, so print two of those.

Obviously print two of the Vagabond piece. One sits on top of the other in the box.

The player boards keep the token trays covered, so there shouldn't be any items coming out in transit unless the top of the box comes loose.

The only tokens without a box are the bag of alphabetical expansion tokens, which are currently sitting on top of one of the stacks of cards.

Update 2/9/2020:

I finally got my copy of the Underworld expansion, and have updated the insert as a result. It involves printing some updated files, so if you'd prefer just to add to the old files and only have to print a few new ones, I'd recommend Cramill's version.

For my version, I wanted to include the new deck, as well as the Vagabond alternates.

For the updated organizer, print all the old files, except for the following changes:

  • Dice+Tokens_Bottom ---> RootUW_DiceBottomNoStep
  • Eyrie ---> RootUW_EyrieV2
  • Vagabond (x2) ---> RootUW_VagabondV2 (x2)
  • CardTray ---> RootUW_CardWhole.stl (Parts 1 and 2 instead, if printer is smaller)

RootUW_MoleBottom and RootUW_MoleTop are obviously for the Moles.

For the Corvid Conspiracy, just use a copy of the old Woodland Alliance Top and Bottom.

DON'T Print:

  • Dice+Tokens_Top
  • CardHoldersBox

The tower and raft pieces go into the dice section because I've started using lumberjackdiz's item holder. There is a cutout on the card holder that it fits into. I put the Rubble pieces in one of the Vagabond trays.

The closed pass pieces lay above the dice and Vagabond trays.

As much as I wanted to, I couldn't fit the resin clearing markers in, so those are being stored with the other map, the bots, and the extra dice and cardboard markers, in the Clockwork box. The cardboard clearing markers are bagged, since their old spot was taken by the tower and raft, and they sit on the cards, or in with the Eyrie, which still has room, despite losing some space to the moles.

There is a small amount of lid lift due to the two new faction boards going into an already tight box.

Update 5/27/2022:

I've been very busy lately, and just got my Marauder Expansion in, so updating this is going slowly.

This will NOT all fit in one box. It was already a problem before this expansion and now it's even worse. I've decided to basically stick to the faction box sizes I already have and making the new factions fit with those, so that way if you want to take just one box somewhere, you can swap the factions you want to play with in and out.

So far I've done the two new factions.

  • Keepers In Iron: Use the RootUW_MoleBottom.stl, with the new KeepersTop.stl
  • Lord of the Hundreds: Use the Marquise_Lizard_Bottom.stl, with the new HundredsTop.stl
    • The dice can be stored in the hole in the Top part, either sunk in on its side, or with the corner sticking through the bottom, depending on how you store the warriors. I've included pictures of how I store them to show they fit.

I'm still deciding on how I want to store the hirelings - whether I want to just put them in a box together, or make individual boxes. I didn't get the Underground Hirelings box so that will be a problem.

I will also probably eventually add various types of boxes that fit the same dimensions as the ones I already have, but with more generalized spaces in them, so people can mix and match at their leisure.

Also, I may switch my card tray to the split version, so I can decide on the fly if I want to take both decks or if I want to take one of the larger factions instead.
