This up vent is for the Aerovac bin which does not have a removable grill behind the fan.
We love our Roomba, but the high speed air coming horizontally from the back tends to blow a dust cloud into the air and into corners which Roomba cannot reach. This vent slows down and directs the air upwards eliminating both issues. This tapered design allows Roomba to turn around in tight spaces without bumping into furniture.
I have secured the vent with two M3 screws, in case the double sided tape does not hold the vent long enough. It is not necessary to remove the transparent bottom to place the nuts, but it makes it easier to reach them.
I have used white flexible TPU material. Roomba is good at moving away from the wall when turning, but if the space is very tight, and cannot do it, this flexible vent will be gentler on the baseboard than a hard one.
