The file 'Rocket League Fennec – HIGH DEF 3D Printer Model' is (stl,3mf) file type, size is 14.6MB.

Summary

This is a multicolor print done with a Bambu Labs X1C with the AMS system.

I've adapted the following the sketchfab model for 3d printing using Blender.

Purpose

I wanted a multi color model with high quality and good printability. The sketchfab model was great and had a high level of detail, but it was non-manifold, therefore, not ready to be printed.

Model Modifications

I started by making the object manifold. Then I cleaned up some small parts that were too thin to print by closing off things like the hollow exhaust pipes. I added some resolution by increasing the triangle count and smoothing the model. I also separated some of the parts like the boosters and taillights so they could be printed flat on the bed for better print quality. The wheels and wheel attachments came from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4834994

Print Recommendations

I recommend printing this model at a 45 degree angle. It seems to be the best balance of quality, speed, and use of supports. You could print this whole model on 1 plate, but i wanted to use 4 colors AND “support for PLA” filament. “Support for PLA” allowed me to set my support interface z distance to zero, which provides better print quality in supported areas of the model. I only have 1 AMS system so I'm limited to 4 filaments at a time. Printing all the separated parts (boosters & taillights) on another plate allowed me to use all 5 filaments.

The parts printed separately (boosters & taillights) just snap into place as they are a pretty tight fit. No glue was required for those. The wheels and wheel attachments are easy enough to just super glue in place. I started by gluing the wheels to the attachments, then glued the wheel/attachment assemblies to the body.

I scaled everything up to 110% to get more detail on smaller parts. Depending on your printer size, you can likely scale it up even bigger if you want to.
