This is an alternative base for Roadworx Universal Ball Joint that has a 9,5 mm (3/8") microphone screw connector and a channel for cable feed-through.
For connecting the halfs of this base please use an M3x16mm DIN85 bolt and an M3 DIN985 lock-nut.
I use this design in combination with Gravity MA XL gooseneck to mount the Yongnuo YN300 Air video lamp. The gooseneck has a cable channel inside and I wanted to be able to let this cable out before the gooseneck connects to the ball joint. The original design of the base of the Roadworx ball joint assumes that the 9,5 mm (3/8") mounting screw is not hollow inside, thus, not allowing a cable to pass through it.
