All I needed was this and 2 shorter (8mm) screws to mount this.
The screws that came with the camera were too long and would stick out of the bottom of the base, but if you were inclined it would be really easy to just make the base thicker to use them instead.
I can't imagine that this will hang on a lot of thermostats, but they are all pretty similar, so it should be difficult to modify accordingly.
Not even sure what kind mine is.
