Here is a quick design I made to true a dirt bike rim. The tubes are 1" pvc. You will cut them to the length you need for your application. The ones in the picture are all 12" long. Held together with sheet rock screws. The axle is a 7/16" all thread rod. The bearings are downloaded from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4821342 . I used 4, 2 on each side, of the 6002 size bearing. The gauge for checking the straightness is a standard pencil.
