Turn an empty container into a rice dispenser.
I used a (30 oz) plastic mayonnaise jar, which holds about 32 oz (2 lbs) of rice. Cut a snug hole in the plastic lid, and hot-melt-glue it in there.
Turn it upside down, give it a little shake to fill the cup, and turn the cup. It dispenses 1/3 cup (2.25 oz, 65 grams, 80cc) of dry rice per revolution, which is my preferred portion, per person.
There's a little bit of clearance, and the cup should be a nice smooth sliding fit, but use some sandpaper if required.
The design was borrowed from my coffee dispensers because it works well, and I'm lazy.
( thing:739261 and thing:722715) I'm not happy with the rice cookers. Just boil for 12 minutes or so..
Used about 65 grams ABS, took 150 minutes on my Afinia H479, 0.30mm Z, medium speed, with a raft.
