Summary

This is a collection of parts for adding RGB underglow lighting to the Notepal U2 Laptop Stand by CoolerMaster. Lighting is added to the left and right-hand sides of the stand, making it visible even when a laptop is resting on top. It was designed to connect to a USB RGB LED controller (mine was from Auraglow).

The underglow setup consists of:

  • 2x LED_Backing
  • 1x Left Angle Cover (A & B)
  • 1x Right Angle Cover (A & B)

Also included are parts for two adapters (and an extension cable) that rewire the colour channels, allowing devices connected to the same controller to have different but synced effects.

Adapter prints:

  • 1x Shift Adapter Cover (A & B) shifts the colour channels along
  • 1x Cross Adapter Cover (A & B) swaps two colour channels around
  • 1x Cable Cover (A & B) for making an extension cable

Components needed:

Mounting of the parts to the stand is done using zip ties and cutouts that are modelled in to the LED_Backing strip.
