In the repaircafe someone asked me if I could make a replacement for a vintage coffee grinder. I told him to bring it to my place and I would give it a try. The lid is 81 mm.
I am not using this lid as end product, but am going to make a silicon rubber mold. The lid will be cast from epoxy. Of course it is possible to use the print as the final product.
Tried a new version which uses a support ring printed from PLA and transparent PETG. This works great. I like the result. Make sure to add a brim for the PETG from at least 25 mm.
Make sure to add a print pause just before the edge will start to print. Then add the PLA ring and resume printing.
