Lost a Christmas Mini LED Light/Holder?
Me too. So I designed a replacement holder to work with existing LED's that I already have around. Because... the entire strand doesn't work with one missing. Not sure where it could have gone, but the cats look guilty. And they aren't talking.
Of course, if the LED bulb is burnt out, you can just replace the bulb in the existing holder - face the key (slot) toward you and make sure the long leg (positive/anode) is on the right.
But if you need a new holder, then if you have the style matching the pictures this STL should get you a plug and play replacement. "Play" meaning inserting the LED as noted above into the newly printed part. Not gonna lie, it can be tricky to get those legs through. And then you will probably have to shorten them by a few millimeters (good thing 3D printers need clippers) - I recommend shorting them such that the cathode (negative) is still shorter than the anode (positive) leg.
Note: You could probably fix it with some copper and gum and duct tape just bridging the connections inside if you don't want to replace the light. Of course, that puts more current into all the rest, so perhaps a small resistor to bridge, but then you have to worry about constant heat and the possibility of catching fire... Anyway that's a solution for another day when you don't have a 3D printer sitting right there waiting to do something important.
Note 2: If you are like me, you don't have the exact type of LED used in the light, but have plenty of the rounded types, then expect the replacement to look a bit different and possibly kind of blinding if you look right into the end of it.
Note 3: On either end of the strands that I have, the holder is different - bigger. I did build a special version just for that, but this one fit into it, so I left it unpublished. If you need that one, reach out and I'll dig it up.
