Summary

So yeah, what's this all about? Well, it started life as a music controller, something that can talk over USB, Bluetooth, WiFi, or FONA and send out a stream of 9DoF and absolute orientation data. The plan was to use this as a music controller.

Then Augmented Reality became a global phenomenon, as we had been predicting for years. It was just too obvious but the Pokemon Go killer app was not expected at all, at least not by my friends and I. Still, I had this design taking up hard drive space and it occurred to me that maybe someone else could do something useful with it in the AR space.

So since it's a dodecahedron, not a sphere, and has two halves for two different colors, I figured call it a Renegade Dodecahedron Controller and see if it gets used for AR gaming or other AR purposes.

The rest is up to you. I'll post more construction details soon, stay tuned!

Note: source code added, this file is from Adafruit, I just changed lines 46 & 47, which were also provided by Adafruit, so really I did nothing yet, lol. That's what I call customer service! So yeah, but what it does is it reads the 9DoF sensor, calculates absolute pitch, roll, and yaw then sends the data over serial to the serial monitor. Next up: Make it send the data over WiFi (that will take some time, but I did it once before so we shall see...).
