Summary

6/21/2024 Update: removed all files due to scaling/units issue. Should be corrected now with new files. Renamed files and reduced descriptions for simplicity. Sorry for the issues!

Filename Summary:
EXP_BaseGame_Riser_scaling_fixed: for base game mats only
EXP_BaseGame_Riser - 1mm Taller_scaling_fixed: for base game mats only (taller for sleeved cards)
EXP_BaseGame_Riser - 2mm Taller_scaling_fixed: same as previous design, just taller
EXP_GoC_Riser_scaling_fixed: for GoC expansion mats only
EXP_GoC_Riser - 1mm Taller_scaling_fixed: for GoC expansion mats only (taller for sleeved cards)
EXP_GoC_Riser - 2mm Taller_scaling_fixed: same as previous design, just taller

6/14/2024 Update: new, taller and/or tighter grooved designs added. The taller design is not symmetrical (flat bottom side sits on table) and is meant for sleeved cards. A few tighter groove designs were also added. My old printer's tolerances lead to an artificially tight groove for base game mats. I reprinted on brand new printer and now the risers are loose. All 'tighter' files are meant for base game player mats only.

7/16/2023:
In the sequel, Expeditions, for the acclaimed board game Scythe, Stonemaier Games has included permanent adhesive risers to attach to the mech mat (if desired). These were provided as a solution to make tucking the various cards easier. While the provided adhesive risers could work, I felt a non-permanent solution to be better.

The riser feet I designed go on each corner of your mech mat. They are just a slightly snug 'press fit' design. Piece is symmetrical and can be put on your mech mat in any direction.

Originally, I tried making an entire frame for the mat to sit in. This came with its own challenges/drawbacks and honestly took too long to build. These little pieces (4x per board, 20pcs for all players) are much more compact and easier/faster to print (~2.5 hours for all 20 needed).

See my photos for more details. The photo with the white disc is the original adhesive riser provided by SM Games. As you can see, my 3D printed riser is taller, and I think easier to tuck cards with. Happy gaming!

As a Stonemaier Games fan, I recommend checking out their other great games!
