This is for V1 of this model & includes a larger crank base.
I prefer the V1 design because the ball bearings, bolts, washers and nuts provide a smoother experience.
The V2.2 uses plastic bearings that are part of the carrier, and they tend to fuse to the piece. They are a difficult to release (even with the plastic wrench).
The larger crank base provides support while turning the gears.
