A remix of Dazus's fantastic model prompted by trying (and failing) multiple times to print the original model as one piece. Splitting the model in half horizontally made all the difference.
The nice thing about having those full bearing surfaces on the build plate is that there is virtually no chance of the model getting knocked off half way through the (long) print, and there are no supports to remove and risk damaging the amazing surface patterns.
