The part that holds the two drawers in most modern Whirlpool refrigerators is made out of High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) material. This material has an issue that it becomes brittle over time and breaks if you have too much weight in the drawers. After buying a replacement part twice, 14 bucks each, I decided it was time to come up with a fix that is practically free and is able to be made on demand.
