Hi guys,
If Thingiverse is as slow for you as it is for me, consider looking for your 3D parts at Cults 3D: https://cults3d.com/en/users/WrenchToDrive/creations
This is some fender wells for the Redcat Gen 8 that allow you to install a cheap Chinese Jeep Body shell. The Jeep shell is nothing special, I just didn't want to destroy the Scout II body in the cold, cold winter weather. I ordered 2 and 1 showed up a little beat up but the second was protected by the first, so I saved it for later.
I intended to make the body mount up a little nicer but my planning was not good and I wanted to get out before it got really cold so I ended up screwing the inner mounts in place. Despite being quick and dirty, the mounts have held up well. The rear is two piece with a cross brace for the body posts and the piece that mounts to the body shell. I used dollar store velcro to attach and it's working great(ish).
The fender wells mount in place of the original ones and use the same holes. The fitment isn't perfect but I used some Gorilla tape to adjust the outer limits and fill it some small gaps against the frame and the result isn't bad. I expect I'll revisit at some point if I end up running these bodies often enough.
