A fully functional single print Turbo !!
The current turbo version is a V3 and I feel like I've reached a point where I can share this with others.
The status is set to WIP as I do plan on releasing a few more versions, maybe even a assembly version with bearings and much higher efficiency. Always open to suggestions, improvements and such, I design such things for education purposes.
I will be uploading a STL shortly to print before the turbo to test your printer's clearance to ensure success.
At 100% scale the tightest tolerances are around 0.33mm and most people should be able to print this without issues. I have printed at 80% scale as well and the turbo works really good as tolerances at this point are more around 0.23mm, this is close to the limit for me.
Project started with a small palm sized version which worked awesome but wanted a bigger version to utilise bigger turbine wheels. If you want a smaller version then just scale it down but do keep tolerances in mind.
This turbine is a part of a larger project I'm working on which is a 4 cylinder engine which will be rotated by a electric motor and as it moves air it will move the turbine.
Changelog:
Sep 15 2021
-New design for turbine housing and wheel as previous version took too much air to spool up
-V3.1 STL uploaded
