Another excellent stl file courtesy of TheFoxintheBox - HMS Duke of York. This will complete my collection of remixes for large RC scale warships of WWII. You can see my designs for the USS California, USS Yorktown, KMS Bismarck, IJN Kongo and the ship I was stationed on (although NOT during WW2!) the USS St. Louis.
This contains the stl files for the deck pieces and the hull pieces, which have been sectioned to fit most common printers. My usual method is to print the hull pieces on my FDM Ender 3 Pro and the deck and details on my resin Elegoo Saturn printer. This is scaled to about 42" long.
I have also included the complete 3mf file for those that want to section their own. Most of the smaller guns have been separated. I have noticed some wall sections may be thin, so be sure to add interior supports and infill. The stl file of the rear section of the hull has been opened to allow prop shafts and includes the separate rudder.
As noted on other projects, some of the small wires and details will probably not print, but these usually do not cause an issue and require minimal cleanup. Shafts and props can be locally procured, as needed.
Edit 2/27/24 - Revised Deck 5 - separate files uploaded
Edit 8/5/24 - Still some issues with Decks 5 & 6 - I have uploaded two separate files 'obj' as .obj files and they load and slice in Cura with no issues.
