Summary

Included are all files needed to build an R/C pusher tug. It is roughly 7 3/8" long by 3 7/8" wide. As usual I didn't do a search before going off and creating the design, there are other nice ones here for download I could have used. Oh well...
I made three of these for our boat club and painted them in "Super Mario Bros" theme; they are intended for little kids to play with but they are still fun.

Edit: I recently created some side pontoons for more buoyancy. We wanted longer run time so we added the bigger batteries you see shown in the assembly drawing. With the extra weight we decided to add a little more "float".
Another comment on batteries - We use 4.8v batteries to limit the speed of the boat given that they are captained by little kids. If I was running it myself I'd probably plug in a 7.4v to make it a bit more interesting.

The parts were designed for easy painting and printing. I'm sure I could have combined some of them but then I couldn't use spray paint for everything.
One downside to this boat is that I designed in the motor and servo mounts. While it makes it easier to build it also makes it harder to scale up or down in size. If you need a hull without it let me know.

The attached assembly drawing lists many details for putting it all together, as well as suggested parts you will need but you can't 3D print. Maybe take a look at that first so you know what you are getting into. Questions just ask.

A word about attribution: These files are listed as "Creative Commons - Attribution". This means you can print/sell parts, sell kits, sell complete boats, whatever you want; I don't care. However, because when you download these you agree to 'attribution' you MUST include a link back to here where you got them from. I've seen people actually selling my "Creative Commons - Attribution" stl files. This is acceptable under the agreement but their attribution is simply "designed by Jabberwock" and that's it. Naturally they don't want to tell their paying customers where they can download "their" product for free.
