Summary

This is a tribute to Tim Carlielle's R/C airplane designs.

I'm happy with the shape of the struts, but they are a bit heavy with the metal axles, and the joint seems to act as a fulcrum for flexure. Maybe Loctite Super Glue Ultra Gel will take the load.

I've built most of the pink foam plane. The fuselage is crooked so I'm going to print a thin skin fuselage on a light frame. The wing looks good with one carbon fiber spar. More to come...

February 26, 2020 Update

I finished the pink foam plane and crashed it twice shattering the PLA landing gear. Now I have printed one in PETG that is stronger. Maybe after adjusting the plane's CG it will fly and land without shattering the gear. Waiting for warm dry weather to fly.
