RC model Land Rover series III military half-ton (Lightweight)
I own a real one of these and thought it would be cool to make a RC model seeing as my one is in rather a lot bits.

It is driven by a modified 9g servo. The servo is modified to spin continuously rather than just 90 degrees. To do this you have to take the servo apart and either glue the potentiometer in place or replace it with two resistors. I made the entire thing out of PLA and stuck most of it together with super glue. Each front wheel uses 2x 7/11/4mm bearings to reduce friction, there are another 2 bearings on the rear axle making a total of 6 bearings. It's worth buying a nice assortment of m2,m3 and m4 bolts off amazon if you intend on making this, redesigning this or making anthing similar to this as its all very useful. Often I use metal bolts in some of my designs to add some extra structure to plastic parts.

I have also left a small bit of space where the right seat would be for a third servo, this is so an fpv camera can be mounted upon the servo and you can look around while you're driving around the house from the comfort of your bedroom!

I didn't add the spare wheel which goes on the bonnet of the real one, the reason for this is simply that I couldn't be bothered. Also the wheels have no grip, I stuck some old belts from the 3d printer on to add more grip, probably needs the design changing.
