Summary

I am try to create new another water jet boat propulsion for RC models.
Actual version used on by boat is "v12"

It is complete open source (only for non-commercial use, another license on request)

Do not hesitate to add comments about this design. Do not forget read comments, it contain many useful informations.

Designed for approximately 1m model boat.
Printed from PLA except impeller from PETG. It need 5x5mm M3 brass inserts. Insert in "jetRudler_v12.stl" are drilled by 3.2 drill.

OpenSCAD sources for v12 is here: https://gitlab.com/jdobry/waterJet/tree/v12

NOTE: impeller lead isn't optimal for jet efficiency. It is too big. But it is optimal to print it. I don't test other lead/pitch values. It is good enough for my funny boat just for fun.

mainPart and motorHolder need to be glued together. Do it ONLY with mounted shaft to the motor together not without it. It is necessary to have motor and shaft perfectly concentricall.

I am using 3536 1700KV motor+ESC combo (re-flashed by SimonK firmware O_POWER=470; O_GROUND=47; POWER_RANGE=1600*CPU_MHZ/16+MIN_DUTY) with 6000mAh 40C 3S LiPol battery. Result is 80A (930W) measured electric power.

EDIT(2018-11-03): This motor is little bit overloaded and after few hours it is dead. Currently I have plan replace it by 3674 inrunner with water cooling jacket.
