The file 'Rc Boat 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 3.6MB.
this is a simple 3d printed rc boat that is powered by a 2205 2300kv outrunner motor. other similar motors could be used though.
the hull can be printed in one piece on a printer having a vertical work space of around 300 mm.
i used the following components:
update june 17th:
the center of gravity of the boat is located too far towards the bow. in order to correct this i modified the hull (v2) such that the lipo can be placed towards the stern, right over the drive shaft. a new cover on which the lipo rests as well as a side guide for the lipo are also part of this modification.
update october 9th:
the boat was never very stable so i redesigned the hull (see files "Boat_v2..."). i also made it a bit larger since it was too heavy for its size. i uploaded a full hull and one that i split in two pieces. the two pieces can simply be aligned and glued together.
