Wing area is around 0.17m^2
Airfoil is NACA-25112
Recommended setup:
40A ESC
2306 motor(2400kv)
5x4x3 prop
1300-1600mah 4s Lipo battery
If you want me to do a differential canard version, plz leave a comment.
Every single detail is designed for a purpose and is well concerned before sketching. My final goal is to make an efficient fpv platform made of 3D printed materials. Actually, this is a 75% scale version of my original design.
From what I have learned, the forward swept wing configuration will provide outstanding aerodynamic performance in subsonic. For the canards, my reason is to make the aircraft more stable on the pitch axis. Why not use horizontal stabilizers but canards? Here is the answer, canards will provide positive lift while making the aircraft pitches up, but horizontal stabilizers will make negative lift while doing so. It’s all about efficiency.
I am a college student studying aerospace engineering in the University of Illinois. I would be really appreciated if you can support me a little bit. Just some tips will make me really happy :)
Important:
This plane does not have build-in internal structures. The infill structure is recommended to use Fast Honeycomb in Simplify 3D. The infill should not larger than 2%
