Summary

The original project is a great engineering work. So, why I made this remix?

  1. The original project has no hardware and can't withstand high speed 😩
  2. The Cult project that Mathieu Houle was inspired with has hardware but it's paid and too complicated to build 😠

This remix uses hardware and simple to assemble. For assembly you will need:

  1. 683ZZ 3x7x3mm bearings - 28 pieces
  2. [6703RS 17x23x4mm bearing]4] - 8 pieces
  3. M3 x 16mm screws - 12 pieces (to install ati-rotation details)
  4. M3 melted nuts 3.0x4.6x4.5 or 3.0х4.5х4.5 - 14 pieces
  5. M3 x 40 mm screws - 14 pieces
  6. M3 narrow washers - 28 pieces

Printing

  • Frames
    • 100% infill. PETG, ABS
    • Supports required
  • Main wheel
    • 100% infill. PETG, ABS
    • Supports required
  • Rollers
    • 10-15% infill. PETG, ABS
    • Supports required
  • Tracks from the original project
    • 95% infill (to make them more flexible). PETG
    • For the front tracks you will need 26 links. Better to print: 7 + 7 + 6 + 6
    • For the rear tracks - 32 links. Better to print: 7 + 7 + 6 + 6 + 6
  • TPU Paddles
    • 100% infill. Recomend to print the model with hard FLEX material (with hardness 60D)
    • 116 paddles for 4 tracks needed 😅

Postprinting

  • Main wheel and Frames
    • Bearings must be installed with interference! Use hammer or gripe.
  • Tracks
    • It's better to connect track parts with TPU filament by melting the ends with a soldering iron or do it like this
  • Paddles
    • Use pliers to install paddles into tracks

Anti-rotation adapters (find yours in remixes)

  1. ZD Racing DBX 10 / Absima ADB 1.4 ✅ Checked
  2. Remo Hobby SMAX 1/10 ✅ Checked
  3. TRAXXAS TRX-4 ⚠️ Needs testing
  4. RTR GateKeeper ⚠️ Needs testing
  5. Tamiya DT-03 Neo Fighter ⚠️ Needs testing
  6. Axial Capra ⚠️ Needs testing
  7. Axial SCX10 Deadbolt, comming soon...

Nut tool

Answering basic questions

  • It should fit any car with a standard 12mm Hex wheel mount;
  • Only 1/10 RC models supported;
  • Patency depends on:
    • RC weight,
    • axles locking,
    • snow density.
