The file 'RBA – House 7 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 982.0KB.
A 1:100 scale concept model for a house in Western Australia. Positioned on a corner block, the house encloses a courtyard which becomes an additional room when the operable walls are open.
The project was modeled in Archicad, where it was broken into small enough parts to fit the build plate. This also allows for the client to take apart the model and get a better idea of the spaces. The parts were then cleaned with Netfabb and printed on the Makerbot Replicator.
There was minimal post production work required, with the addition of the lighting and battery back factored into the design before printing. Trees, vehicle and people models were from the local hobby shop.
