I wanted a more self-contained printer where I don't need the PC for some basic tasks. Already using octoprint on a raspberry pi 3b I decided to add a touchscreen to it. I needed a new enclosure for that and wanted something flexible. So I remixed a box from GobRob with some parts from the Modular Mounting System by yyh1002 - which I love and use for several other things too (e.g. webcam mount) - and used the mounts from CDeviant.
I've added some covers for HDMI, GPIO Ports and audio ports to cover them up when not needed. These have to be printed with TPU like NinjaFlex.
I used some foam to hold the raspberry in place in the case, maybe I'll add an internal mounting bracket in the future.
There are several files:
Octoprint box - the box for the raspberry
Octoprint box cover slotted female - backcover with modular mounting system, female
Octoprint box cover slotted male - backcover with modular mounting system, male
audio cover - cover for the audio jacks, to be printed in TPU!
gpio cover - cover for the gpio outlet
hdmi cover - cover for a hdmi bridge (I was not able to get my display running only from the gpio...)
modular mount 90 angle - 90mm mms arm modified with a 90° twist
