Summary

Raspberry Pi 3 B+ Bear Frame Case

This is a recreation of the case found here;
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2869086

I found the original design interfered with my frame in a couple of ways.

  1. With the USB ports facing down - the case would interfere with my z-axis motor cable strain relief. For people not using a strain relief this would not usually be an issue.
  2. With the case rotated, it would not clear the 90 degree plates - meaning it would sit too low on the frame.

This redesign aims to resolve both of the above issues. You can now rotate it freely, while still clearing any 90 degree plate. The tabs are also reduced, giving you some more room to play with.

All in all this case will give you more freedom.

There are two options for the base;

Option 1:

Print the attached tabs, with the universal top. Note, you will need supports directly under the tabs. No other location requires supports.

Option 2:

Print the detached tab base, universal top along with two tabs. This requires no supports. This will give you further color freedom better matching existing bear parts.
