Summary

Hi People of the Internet. UPDATED April 2020

My wife gave me a day off from the kids, and after amusing myself on the internet and finally finishing Titanfall 2... epic game btw... seriously underrated.

I present my 2 hour off the cuff idea for mounting my Saitek X52 / Pro HOTAS.

Whats in the kit?

Saitek/Logitech X52 / pro throttle and stick mounting plate. (Original, fits a 180x180mm build plate)

***Saitek/Logitech X52 Mount Throttle_Stick Plate Extended 2020 (New!!! April 2020, fits a 200x200mm build plate)

If you have an Ender 3 ... print the extended plate. It is about 40mm longer than the original version and thicker too. It also solves the distance for the DIN Throttle/Stick link cable connector not having enough space to fold out flat. This was an original constraint on my old printers where my bed wasn't big enough to print larger prints. This has now been fixed since I got the Ender 3 at Christmas. ***

1 x 35mm lip desk mount... for desks that are 35mm thick.
1 x 20mm lip desk mount... for... yep, 20mm thick desks.
1 x 5/16th Bolt and Nut Knob Short internal spacer 2mm internal
1 x 5/16th Bolt and Nut Knob V4 Longer internal spacer 4mm internal
1 x Knob Wrench - For tightening and loosening the knobs above.

Print which ever lip fits cleanest on your desk. I have an IKEA bench, so 35mm for me. Although it's not always about thickness... am I right????

The bolt to clamp it should be a 5/16 or 8mm metric and greater than 50mm long. Suggest 75mm length or similar if using the Knobs for the nut and bolt. I used a wingnut in the photos. I have added a 5/16th Bolt and Nut knob for quick release. There are two sizes which are longer to make a bigger spacer if you use a longer bolt etc... from memory I think they are 2mm and 4mm internal spacer. Either way, if your using the knobs, you'll want a 75mm length bolt.

The rest of the holes are generic enough to then use any appropriate screw or bolt to mount the Throttle and Stick to the plate. I've made it'd universal so one fit both throttle and stick (i.e. left and right side mounting holes...).

Thanks and remember. It's okay to be high when you fly!
