I have taken in a 16 year old cat, he is a grey domestic shorthair with white feet and arthritis.
I have read that raising the food bowl can help alleviate some of the discomfort cats in his condition feel. I had a look in the shops and there was nothing in a reasonable price range that fit what I wanted.
In the end I purchased a shallow stainless steel cat bowl and decided to just print the raised stand myself.
Lucky seems to like it, he now sits on his butt when he eats and his front legs are not bent, he is also eating more in each sitting, this is good as Lucky is underweight. Also he is dropping less food outside the bowl for me to clean up afterwards, this is a plus.
