The file 'Rainbarrel Valve Connector 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 9.4MB.
The connector between my existing barrel and valve got broken off one winter. Rather than replace the entire barrel I searched Thingiverse but didn't find a suitable replacement. So I designed a part to repair the one I have.
This is designed for the internal part to be threaded into the external part from the inside of the barrel so you must be able to get into the barrel to do this.
There was a 36mm hole in my barrel so there is a 2mm deep 35mm flange that protrudes from the external part into the barrel.
Text goes to the top in order for the curve of the flange to fit the barrel
Edit: 2018-06-23 I have revised the original External part so the Letters are only 0.5mm deep as the original at 1mm was getting some bridging sagging that wasn't as neat.
I have also designed a new adapter for common 1/2" valves (OD is 20.9mm) in case you want to install this in a new barrel opposed to fixing an old one.
External wrench is 30mm, internal is 45.
I used black silicone to seal the part to the barrel.
