Summary

This thing is a remix of this thing: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4265140
I modified it so it would fit on my H0 scale layout.

The changes I made:

  • I created a new deck with a distance of 63,5mm (=2.5") between track centers to fit the requirements of the tracksystem I use on my layout (Fleischmann H0 profirail).
6 slots were cut out to hold connectors. This allows for allignment of adjacent decks as well as a strong connection.
  • I separated the walkway and handrail so they can be printed flat on the bed, without supports being required. When I printed this part in 1 piece it was next to impossible to remove the supports without breaking the handrails.
  • I scaled down the pillar (base, pillar & pillarhead) so a pillar can be placed between two tracks with enough clearance for passing trains. I know the pillarhead is quite narrow now, but I'm confident it will still provide enough stability.
  • The pillar was furthermore modified so a bolt can be entered before fixing the pillarhead.
With the right length of bolt, there is still enough clearance inside the pillar to present the pillar on a flat surface (pushing the bolt upwards). Once happy with the position, a hole can be drilled in the surface and the pillar can be fixed with a nut.

I hope you like this remix. Feel free to post a make.
