Summary

As I bought now a FDM printer I wanted to print my radial engine which I designed 12 years ago. Therefore I made a re-design and I hope you will like it. I built all of the parts with support only the cylinder assembly I built without support but with brim. To give the crankshaft and the winch enough stgrenght I built them with 100% infill (I broke a few of them during my tests). Please look at the pictures to see the sequence of assembly. Before you glue things together make sure that everything works smoothly. Depending on the printer it can be necessary to grind the inside of the cylinder parts and the edges of the piston. The holes have a diameter of 2mm and I drilled every one after the print. It can also be necessary to shorten the pushrod covers a bit. To glue parts together I used CA glue. Be carefull not to apply too much glue. If you have assembled all the parts in the correct way you will have a impressive little model engine which everyone wants to crank.
Let me know if you built one.
