Summary

QX13 BUTT-CAN ADAPTOR STEM

Please see http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2220336 for an example of a TOP to this project! Also, a close approximation of the can is provided in that file for educational modeling purposes.

This is a stem/post for an “Eagle Butt-Can” Model 1200 and 1206. The old one was damaged. The parts list:

  • QX13 Can Cover: (Adaptor Plate!) Insert two 6mm Hex Head bolts about 40mm long from the bottom, affix to Eagle Butt-Can (Model 1200 and 1206 work, for sure!) using two 5mm self-taping sheet-metal screws, or similar. Be sure to print 2 walls (3 total)!
  • QX13 Mound: After the remaining pieces are assembled and ready to mount, this is placed on top of the 6mm bolts protruding from mounted Can-Cover, and affixed with 6mm Wing Nuts. It has the first section of the stem built right in! Be sure to print 2 walls (3 total)!
  • QX13 Stem a: Print TWO of these for the next two sections. I didn’t require any glue, they fit so good! Place on a flat surface, line up your pieces, and thrust in-place squarely! Be sure to print 2 walls (3 total)!
  • QX13 Stem a Top: Print One of these. It’s the final stem piece, the top of which is slightly modified for the geometry of the Topper. Be sure to print 2 walls (3 total)!

I created the Bodies in FUSION 360.

STEP files are included so that you can modify them in a cad program. Have fun!

This was sliced and coded using ReplicatorG employing 2 shells (3 total) using PLA.

  • FlashForge Creator Pro (Similar to Makerbot Replicator 2)
  • Heated Bed 45 Celsius
  • Blue Painters Tape on bed, no further treatment
  • Print Temperature 220 degrees Celsius
  • Supports for QX13 MOUND, others; No Supports, NO rafts.
  • Feedrate 40 mm/s
  • Travel Feedrate 55
(If anybody has more optimum feedrates, please share!)

REQUEST: Please help me improve my sharing! STEP files have proven reliable for me to transport file between different CAD platforms. If STEPs are a problem for you, please let me know what other common and relatively generic Cad format works better for you.
