Summary

This is a remix for mkosiedowski's quick fixed knife holder for the cnc kitchen knife sharpener.

I found that my knife was a tapered blade so the flat bottom clamp wouldn't work for it. I found my taper to be 1.778 degrees, so that is what it is modeled to. Attached is the onshape file, I recommend measuring the angle of your knife first and making sure it will work. I have a feeling it is a standard taper though because the other tapered knives I have sharpened fit it perfectly as well. I printed it standing upright as that way the taper is smooth. My printer did a good job with the supports, but If yours isn't too good I would recommend scaling it up a tad to account for support slop.

I tried to sharpen my scissors but found that the ball joint didn't have enough range of motion for such a steep angle, so I made these clamps to tilt the scissors down to an angle that is more similar to sharpening knives. It works well, but might need a bit of duct tape on the clamp surfaces as the method of fastening doesn't clamp the scissors. I found that I had to press the clamps together then screw them down and then it worked great. Also, once you sharpen scissors, you never go back, I couldn't believe how much better they were, even the pair I had that were brand new were exceptionally better after sharpening. I went up to 800 grit and that seems to work amazingly.
