Minor improvements: I moved the phone holding arm slightly to the left so that the passenger's left leg is less disturbed.
And, even mor important: now printed the Thing with FormFutura Volcano PLA - Now the thing is finally temperature-stable even in midsummer!!

My orginial design worked well for me for several years. However, the PLA Quadlock mount head wears over time and the phone mount loosen more and more. I had to re-print my thing two times since 2019.
Now I found the time for a significant improval and did a complete re-design.

My new thing now makes use of the original Quadlock Motorcycle Handle Bar mount, which makes it way more robust.

I will keep my original design here online for those users, who do not want to spent the money for the Quadlock piece, since it's not so cheap...

My latest design and print, mentionend above here, still lasts and serve me every day in my car - no further improvements have been required since! :-)

I always enjoy my Quad Lock mount on my bicycles and wanted to get its advantages also when driving my car. Since there is no stock mount available that fit my needs, I designed one myself.

It fits perfectly into the cup holder of a Golf 7, and still some (smaller) cups may fit into it. The four snappers will lock in and keep it solid in its place. Now my phone is available at my finger tips for navigation, and increases driver safety too.

You may find my Qlock4G7 useful as well ;-)
