Update (2021-08-10): For anyone looking into this design, I am working on a new version that fits the latest expansion. It should be ready by the weekend. There is little that is re-used from this version, so if you are looking to print an insert for Quacks, wait a few days and I'll have an even better version of this ready to go! :)

This is my custom board game insert for the game Quacks of Quedlinburg, along with the Herb Witches expansion. This insert will hold the Geek Up bits from BGG, and uses the Geek Up bag upgrade as well. I'm always welcome to constructive criticism, or suggestions for improvement. Feel free to comment!

I started off using the existing storage boxes on Thingiverse, but I really don't like lids on my boxes so I decided to make my own version. I did steal the idea to have slots to hold the cards on the boxes, so credit where it is due. The larger black boxes hold all of the cardboard for the game, and all player bits are stored in the bags. The bags are rolled up and fit into the remaining space in the box reasonably well.

I did not design the insert to fit sleeved cards. If someone wanted to provide me with dimensions on the cards, I would happily update the card box to fit them :)

As with all of my designs so far, I've designed it so the insert is flush with the lid with all components in place. It passed the shake test with flying colours, so it will allow for storage on its side. For printing, follow along with the screenshot I have posted in the pictures. It will tell you how many of each STL to print, along with approx cost and time.

Update - 2020-01-20 - I've uploaded a pair of new models, one for sleeved cards and a second to replace the Gems box with two boxes. I had been storing the extra white ingredients in the gems box, along with the die and the teardrop. Those have been split off to a new box. The updated Recipes and Cards (Sleeved) box should fit sleeved cards. I was given dimensions on Facebook, and based the insert off of those. If someone tries it out, please confirm that the dimensions are good. And hey, I think I finally managed to get the first image to show the right way! :)
