This is a brace to keep your acrylic hood in the right shape. I was finding the stepper wires motor were catching on the hoods edge in the centre because it was coming into the print space a little due to flex. This eliminates that and has a little lip on it the 'catch' the printer case to make sure everything stays in shape!
