Summary

Just got my brand new QIDI Plus 4 and am quite well aware of the SSR problems the machine has been known for, so without even powering up the new machine I contacted QIDI support and got the newest version of the SSR board on order. In the mean time I tore my brand new printer apart and decided to make some accessories for it.

This is a basic printer poop chute I whipped together. The chute slides down onto a couple of custom brackets that hold the chute firmly in place using only slightly longer screws for easy maintenance. Simply lift the chute off of it's brackets if needed.

This is work in progress. I have not made the extension piece and bin to round the corner and capture the poops. I'll upload those as I finish them up.

The kit includes 3 pieces. The bracket for the printer's poop port, which screws to the machine using the two small self tapping screws in the back panel either side of it. I can print all 3 parts at the same time on my Creality K1 Max build plate.

Next there is an extension bracket that mounts over the bottom 2 rear cover screw holes. You will need some longer screws to get this mounted as the original cap screws are recessed into the back cover when installed. Naturally they are 2 different sizes. The bottom screw is an M3 size and the top screw is (I think) a M3.5 size. I wasn't going to order any M3.5 screw sets to use just one of them, so I just started an M4 screw in the hole and sent it home.
