Inspired by a design by Walter Janssens I decided to create a model of my own.
The beautiful fractal "Pythagorean tree" brought to life.
I printed a limited iterations model, but bigger iterations are possible. I have provided a openscad file which allows you to tweak the number of iterations, starting cube size etc..
Trivia
First constructed by Albert E. Bosman in 1942. It has been proven that the total surface area of a 2D Pythagorean tree is finite, by bounding so is the volume of this 3D pythagorean tree.
