The file 'PVC “Sharkbite” Endcap For Hydroponics/non-pressurized Systems. 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 92.6KB.
I needed endcaps for my hydroponic veggie garden project. The ones commercially available were very expensive and needed chemicals to be attached, and I didn't love any part of that. So I modeled these and printed them in TPU. I have eight of these in use and no leaks yet. They do need a bit of Teflon Tape around the edge of the pipe you're going to stick them on - I put about 3/4" of tape (width) and maybe 3-4 times around.
I've included two versions - my garden is using small 1/2" fittings for the hydro stuff, so one of the files has a hole in the center of the cap for the fittings. The other is just a flat end cap that you can add a hole into if needed. If you're going to DRILL a hole, you'll need to increase infill to 100% which might make it fit less well.
Print flat side down. I printed without supports and didn't have an issue, but I'd be curious to see it printed with supports. It came out a little stringy but TPU is prone to that anyway. I minimally cleaned them off and it was fine for me.
I'll be posting the basket holders later. Thanks for checking it out, hopefully this is helpful!
