Summary

Description

Some people are experiencing too short cables on the Prusa Mini hotend which could fatigue on the long time run and become dangerous. In some cases, the hotend can't stay in place to the extremity of the X axis, the cables are acting like a spring on it.

This new Z bottom cover and fan spacer are helping to release the stress on those wires to guide them in a more natural shape.

Features

  • Reduce stress on wire to avoid premature fatigue
  • Improve wiring inside the cover
  • Avoid the hotend and bed wires to touch the stepper wires (could scratch)
  • Fan spacer improves a bit the cooling of the hotend
  • Improve TMC drivers cooling
  • Use stock hardware and firmware
  • Does not break the warranty

Important note

Note the orientation of the hotend and heated bed cables on the images. They are swapped compared to original design.

While installing this mod, take time to remove the zip ties on the textile sleeve and adjust it as best as you can. Makes sure the hotend connector is not getting to much stress. Double check that all connectors are tight.
