Description
This is my take on the Prusa i3 x-carriage for a Bowden extruder setup. My main goal is to make an easily removable hotend mount to allow the user to easily work on the hotend, which I achieve using magnets!
There are 2 design variations:
- The "stock" (1a) flavour allows you to use "whatever" cooling you would like, and gives you the best z-axis height.
- The "Diii compatible" (1b) will allow you use a DiiiCooler for the best cooling results, however, you will have to compromise your z-axis height by about 15mm.
Attributes
- I have used Toolsons x-carriage as my base. He has a great design for it. You should really consider checking out his designs if you're using a P3Steel.
- The DiiiCooler by Pawpawpaw85 is probably the best cooler for PLA that I have personally used (your mileage may vary).
- Yakulis' x-axis endstop holder is very useful for the "stock" flavour, although any endstop holder with a similar design should work.
- Thanks to Neo_Usagi for his E3D V6 model.
