I had to design this because I broke my Ubis hot end and decided well, if I'm going to buy a new one might as well upgrade. After I got it is when I realized that it was shorter than the Ubis, much like the E3D hot end. So I whipped this guy up to clamp it under the stepper. this was supposed to be a temporary fix but has worked out well enough that I never got around to changing it. It was only a patch job so that I could print the real parts so I didn't put to much effort into it, however it does not require any modification to the Printrbot stock parts.
