I heard this joke and loved it so much I had to retell it… Just In Case.
The design aims to look like a tiny tool case. It prints in place with a moving hinge and handle. I’ve included solid and multi-material versions.
If you shoot a single extruder, the multi-material files print out separately and glue together pretty well.
The hinge is based on a .2mm gap at a 45° angle. I’ve added a test slice of the handle as well as a backup handle at a stronger print orientation. If the test hinge sticks, scaling up should fix most issues. It prints successfully on my sloppy .6mm nozzle at a .3mm layer height, but it really works best with a .2mm.Layer/.4mm nozzle or smaller.
