Summary

I love using those dual color "quantum" filaments, which have a different color on each side, which causes an interesting printing effect. I thought, why not make my own? Then I can have whatever color combination I'd like! So I made a customizable model that generates a spiral of filament that you can print on your own printer. Add a color change between layers, and you've got your own color combination.

Or, you might use this to combine all your extra filament bits into one long Franken-filament with all the colors squishing around together. Whatever floats your boat.

When you use Customizer to generate the length you need, you may see a small circle appear in the center of the spiral. This is to indicate that the full length requested didn't fit in the space provided. That circle is only 0.01mm thick so the slicer should ignore it.

Caveat: printing this involves using advanced techniques when slicing. I've only tried it with the features available in PrusaSlicer, but I assume other modern slicers have similar features? I've included PrusaSlicer project files for the 5/10/15 meter models, and further details in the print settings notes.
